PM: Gov't to develop measures to support innovations

RBC, 30.12.2009, Moscow 16:18:20.The Russian government will develop additional tax incentives for innovative activities in 2010. Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin has made the corresponding request today at the government presidium meeting. "You should think about additional tax measures to support innovations," he stated.
The PM reiterated that the state agency for export insurance was expected to begin operating in 2010. During the crisis, Putin noted, the government must think about promoting innovative Russian products abroad, and the agency would mostly be responsible for this. Talking about the diversification of the Russian economy, the PM indicated such high-tech sectors, as the nuclear and space industries, as well as the production of medical equipment and medicines.
